Americans talk about rights and amendments but have only read the Bible, not their Constitution or The Bill of Rights. Americans love and support their judicial and legal system but truly don’t understand how fucked the process is by special interests and just plain greed (by politicians and the payee).
As long as we’re stuck in a two party Nascar system, we’ll never become the American Dream you were taught. One the forefathers of America thought the Constitution should be rewritten every 19 years for the time.
America started as an idea of a place for people escaping their persecution and unhappiness. A place where mankind is supposed to thrive for peace and happiness. It’s laid out in America’s Declaration of Independence “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed”
It then triple downs with this “but when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, envinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security.”
This doesn’t mean a government coup; it means the government needs to change its ways. It means we have to, the President, Congress, People who claim to represent the people have to look at the failed drug war laws and free those incarcerated immediately. The opioid crisis isn’t a result of drug dealers, its the result of drug users.
They double down by furthering with “,that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”
Diverting from the Constitution for Americans should be like diverting from the Bible for Christians, it’s against your moral fibre. Whether you’re a consumer or not, the present state of cannabis is against the moral greater good.
Cannabis people come in all shapes and forms, and there’s a part of myself that I like to refer to as my inner tinfoil hat conspiracist. The government is out to get you over a plant isn’t an overstatement. Especially when you learn about things like the Hemp For Victory Campaign the government tried to let you forget or when the DEA denies that cannabis has medical benefits while The Department of Health holds several patents (the most noted #6630507) and have proven marijuana is non-toxic but legal boner medicine and aspirin can kill you.
The war on drugs is fueling disinformation to our society which leads to mental health issues, the reality one says vs what is real, is schizophrenic. It’s bad enough that there are real mental health issues out there, but the war on drugs has made it hard to tell right from wrong for the citizen and the cop with a gun.
Among conspiracy theorist, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Allen Ginsberg and his argument that the war on pot was aimed at hippies, people of lesser financial means, and people of colour. At the time his rants in his Atlantic Monthly Article “The Great Marijuana Hoax” were viewed as educated rants but was found to be true in 2016, confirmed by former Richard Nixon aide John Ehrlichman.
Recently a case against Jeff Sessions and the present scheduling of cannabis as having no medical benefits was seen in the high courts, a case that was dismissed, upholding the present state of cannabis. Here’s where the mental disorder and distrust in your leadership, your judicial system occur. How can an educated human being discredit the medical benefits when its own country has had a program that presently improves the lives of 4 people, a program called the Compassionate Investigational New Drug Program. A program initiated in 1976, the drug is no longer new.
Four living Federal patients yet a judge says people recently weren’t able to prove their argument for rescheduling. Besides the program, let’s look at the governments own Department of Health who hold patent US6630507, among many others that show the benefits of cannabis.
Besides the previous two arguments for hate and discontent among the natives, let’s look at the .multiple government reports that seem to get squashed and forgotten by the La Guardia Committee, Indian Hemp Drugs Commission, and the Panama Canal Zone Commission.
We will never be the great that we can be as a Nation, as long as we accept the lowest bidder while expecting quality work and while people sit behind bars for a plant. I do what I do to help propagate the conversation, not to let people be forgotten once they become part of the system known as the judicial system.
